And that's a wrap!

We have now completed a brilliant six-session & two continuous professional development meetings, DNA Introduction Course with a fantastic grassroots club, Greenfields Sonics U11’s.

It’s been a pleasure to take our services right to the very heart of football in Bournemouth, Poole & Christchurch. You will often see our hashtag, #SupportingGrassroots - because that’s exactly what we aim to achieve.

We are not an organisation that wants to take young people away from their existing grassroots club environments - we are an organisation that wants to supplement young peoples existing football consumption.

And what better way to do that by taking our sessions within their existing training!

We pride ourselves on meeting the needs of our participants, and we’re sure that’s exactly what we have done with Greenfields Sonics. Not only have we gone in and delivered six-sessions based on our DNA philosophy, we spent time with their coaching team to ensure they are supported moving forward to continue the work.

Exploring individual development plans, session planning & how to keep sessions fun & engaging - the coaches are set-up to continue the great work they are already doing.

The Greenfields coaches had this to say:

Lead Coach Denzil quotes, “It’s easy to see noticeable improvements in each player’s control, confidence and understanding of the game. From my perspective as lead coach, it’s great seeing the boys respond so positively to this opportunity of being tutored by a professional coach. James is a great communicator and I’ve no doubt that the boys are enjoying hearing from a different voice! Me and my fellow coaches are picking up so much from James in each session, its great to observe the session at close quarters and we’re picking up lots of skills & drills to replicate once we’re back in charge!”

Team Coach Jon also enjoyed the course, saying that “the CPD meeting was very good. James delivers his messages well and in a balanced and constructive way.”

Even more importantly, the feedback shows that the most important people - the participants, had a great time as well. We caught up with a couple of the parents:

Sally said that “Charlie says he’d give it 10/10. A thorough warm up and lots of fun while training and learning new things. From my point of view, James comes across as very personable, the boys warmed to him straight away and he got their respect early which isn’t easy!”

Ivana’s son Elliot said “James is very good and I can’t wait for next week” before Ivana told us that “as a parent that is what I love to hear!”
